Common questions about joining

How does DoorGuard work?

You sign up for $19/month with no contract. Once a year DoorGuard performs an annual tune-up: inspecting springs and cables, inspecting rollers and hinges, lubricating all moving parts, testing door balance, running a garage door opener safety test, and completing a full safety inspection. Members also get priority scheduling and discounted repair labor.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. DoorGuard is month-to-month. You sign up for $19/month and there is no contract, so you can cancel anytime. Billing happens monthly on the date you join, which means you are never committed to a term or locked into a full year of service.

When does my first tune-up get scheduled?

Your first annual tune-up is scheduled right after you join. DoorGuard confirms your membership and sets up that visit, then repeats the tune-up every year you stay a member. You can also request a visit through the booking form on the site or by calling (877) 257-6027.

What happens if my door breaks between tune-ups?

Members get priority scheduling, so your repair request moves to the front of the line, and members pay discounted rates on repair labor. The membership itself covers the annual tune-up and safety inspection; repair work is billed separately at member rates. You can request a visit online or by phone.
